My name is Laurie. I am a 66 year old recent widow whose heart is broken. I took care of my husband who was suffering with stage 4 melanoma. I took care of him myself until he succumeiin hospice 3 days later. I have worked my whole life and use to be middle class and now I'm living on $1500 a month SSA. I had to stop working when I was 50 and had to go on SSDI due to often debilitating mental health issues. I'm living in NC . I'm from MA and we moved here cause we got subsided housing and cheaper. I wanted to move to me and I found housing. I did not get my way. I am totally alone here. Hard to meet people when you're isolated in a little town  well I want to go home to ME. I have relatives up there and better medical care. I have terrible anxiety depression & PTSD. I have betin the hospital 6 times since livintin NC. I put my name in subsided 55 and over apts in Portland ME and my name has come up on some apt waiting lists. I also have a housing choice voucher that I can transfer anywhere and I only have to pay a couple hundred a month. What I need help with are moving expenses. I have cut back and do side jobs to put some money away but it's not enuf .
