 My name is Kayla. My mother's name is Tammy. This year (2025) has been an extreme rollercoaster to say the least. My mother has been recently diagnosed with stage 3 colon cancer. Our family isn't well off financially and due to that we are having issues being able to afford the medical bills, co-pays, and most importantly, Tammy's household bills and necessities because she is unable to work and going through the process of getting approved for disability takes a while no matter the condition you are diagnosed with. My family are working and doing all we can do but we cannot seem to catch up or be able to afford a lot of necessary things she needs and has to have (like her medicine) she does have insurance, but it only covers so much. Tammy (my mom) has chemotherapy treatments every 2 weeks. Every doctors appointment, she has to make $50.00-$100.00 co-pays at the least. That being said, any help would be a blessing to her in many more ways than you could ever imagine. Tammy is one of the people that when you meet them, you'll never forget her. She's an amazing woman and has 2 grandchildren named Kahne (my son) and Kamden (my nephew). The help that is received will go to her chemotherapy treatments, co-pays, medicine, and my mother's household bills and necessities. My family is not the type to reach out for help, but what we are currently going through any help would truly be a blessing to our family and her to reach recovery.
