The past 24 months have been an incredible test of my resilience, with the loss of several family members, and today I said goodbye to my last living uncle, Gregory McClain. His passing has left an unfillable void in my heart, as he played a pivotal role in raising me. Unfortunately, he was a private person and didn't share his health struggles with us, and we only discovered his cancer diagnosis a few months ago. Despite the late diagnosis, I did everything in my power to ensure his remaining time was comfortable and pain-free. On February 11, 2026, God called him home, and although my heart wasn't ready, I trust that he's in a better place. What's disheartening is that my uncle didn't have insurance, and despite his years of dedication to the army, they can only offer condolences. The financial burden of his funeral arrangements now rests on my shoulders. I know everyone faces their own struggles, but I'm counting on your kindness to help me celebrate my uncle's life.
