A friend of mine who is a single elderly retired woman that has had to leave her house for almost a year for her own protection due to the failure of the system because of her adult son'   drug-induced psychosis and violent behavior towards her and others while she was away he destroyed/sold her belongings and ruined the living function of the house to where after the eviction finally went through she came back to absolutely nothing and it was in unlivable conditions she has since had to go back to work at 64 years old to work as many hours as she can as a medical caregiver that she has done throughout her adulthood and she is barely making ends meet and swamped with the debt of getting the house back in shape and replacing everything that she can to make it the house it once was. About 2 years ago her house was paid off and she was happily able to live a retired life before the incidences started to occur. She has had to take out loans and borrow money to even pay for a security system, electrician, landscaper, home remodeling. Every little bit helps even if you can't donate please share all the other local organizations are short staffed and underfunded this is our last resort for her to keep her home and rebuild her life of what's left of it.
