We are heartbroken to share the sudden passing of our Dad, Wallace Craig Stogner. Just three short weeks ago, we received the devastating news that he had rapidly developed the most aggressive form of liver cancer, and it had already spread to his stomach and other organs. From that moment on, he endured tremendous suffering as the disease rapidly consumed his body. Despite his pain, he remained surrounded by the love of his family until the very end.
Wallace was taken from us far too soon. If you knew him, you knew he was one of a kind. He was the kind of man who could fix just about anything under the shadetree with a set of tools and pure know-how. (And duct tape and toggle switches, too!)
But more than anything, Wallace knew how to live. He was always up to something, always stirring up a little trouble, and always — always — making everyone around him laugh. He lived life on his own terms, with a smile on his face and mischief in his eyes. He had a way of lighting up every room he walked into and leaving people with memories they'd never forget.
Wallace was a man who never had much financially, but he was rich in the ways that truly mattered — love, laughter, and loyalty. Unfortunately, he did not have any life insurance or any funds set aside for final expenses.
Our family is now left with the overwhelming need to cover funeral and burial costs, all while mourning the loss of a man who was truly irreplaceable. We were not prepared and do not have the means to provide this. The estimated cost of his services will be around $8,500, and any contribution — big or small — will help ease this weight during an already unbearable time.
