I lost my home over the holidays. Due to severe medical conditions, and the current struggle to get onto SSI; I was put into the position of sell the property for 1/6th its value, or the state auctions it in June and I get nothing to relocate with. I chose of course to sell. The tiny offer was just enough to get a truck and small trailerā¦and help the three other people in the house get into the places that programs had signed them up for (no, my boyfriend and I did not qualify for help from either program because one was a VA thing, and one was only for families with open DHS cases). From a safe, stable physical building 1,300 square feet, to 2 people and our kitties in a 26ft by approximately 8 or 9 ft wide spaceā¦
Now, my boyfriend and I are desperately trying to find workā¦ but the truck we were sold is a somewhat ālemonā. Just to get the wiring harness situation fixed (apparently the last guy made āa mess out of itā according to AAMCOā¦) The cost is $320. Then they can make sure that there isn't anything else that needs to be repaired right now. I called around to other shops; and that's pretty accurate and fair. After the truck can be/is fixed; we could finally get some work going. I'm praying that it can happen ASAP; cause I could possibly make enough money to pay for a month of the lot rent either in OKC or Guthrie.
I am a very independent person and it is killing me that I can't find any help to fix the truck so we can work, and now, the water pump in the little RV trailer we live in sprung a leak, and even though it's temporarily bypassed to stop the flooding; we would have no access to water via the potable water tank unless we can come up with the $110 to get a new pump.
I'm sorry for the long description; but even disabled, I want to be able to do work and save what little I have leftā¦ Pleaseā¦ I know things are hard for many; and I pay it forward whenever I can.. But now; I'm praying that there are still some good souls out there š Love and blessings to you all
