Hey guys.  My name is Lucas Knowles and I am from a small rural town called Calais, Maine. This Monday (Memorial Day) my best friend Oliver, a 5.5 month old french bulldog, tried jumping onto a stand in our house and fell extremely hard. After I noticed Oliver limping, I called a telehealth vet and was advised to wait 24 hours to see if his limp improves (as it could have been a pulled muscle/minor sprain/bruise). Wednesday came annd Oliver was in a lot of pain and not being himself so I took him to St.Stephen (across the us/Canadian border) to the vet. After the vet took X-rays of him, it showed that he Fractured his knee cap and will need to see a specialist in Moncton, New Brunswick to be surgically repaired. After Consulting with the surgeon in Moncton, he informed me that the surgery will be 6,000-6,500 dollars (Canadian) And that without replacing his knee, he will more than likely not Be able to walk again on his back right leg. They do accept payment plans, but you have to be a Canadian resident and I am not. I hate to reach out and ask For others to help in a tough economy, but I have ran out of options and I want to do all I can for Oliver.
