About this fundraiser

Dad was diagnosed with Congestive Heart failure a few years ago and recently was approved for the Lvad (left ventricular assist device) procedure which is often called the “Bridge to Heart transplant.”  The device will do the work for his left ventricle which is not working like it should and give him the second chance he needs while waiting for a heart transplant. The procedure was very expensive and we are so very fortunate that his insurance covered the surgery at the time. That said, Dad's insurance is set to expire at the end of this month during his hospital stay and recovery and he will need ongoing care and medication for the rest of his life.

An army veteran who loves his country. A kid at heart, who loves legos and batman toys. A loving father who adores his children. A doting grandfather who assumed the role of “dad” when his only son passed away and helped raise my nieces. There are many ways to describe him but the one thing that resonates with people that know him is that he is a giver. He gave all of his heart in everything he did and needs some of that love back. We are asking family, friends and perfect strangers to lend a hand in Dad's care. Thank you so much for the outpouring of love and support.
