​Family and friends, it is with a heavy heart that we share the passing of Billy Joe Upton, known affectionately by everyone as "Pappy." Pappy was a man who proved that it is never too late to change your story. He worked hard to turn his life around, and in doing so, he became the heartbeat of our family. His world revolved around his grandkids, and there wasn’t a day that went by where he didn't show us how much he loved us. He went from a man facing struggles to a man who was our rock, our laughter, and our greatest supporter.

​Because his passing was unexpected, we are facing a reality we weren’t prepared for. We want nothing more than to honor his memory and the incredible person he became, but we are currently unable to cover the costs of his cremation and memorial services.
