Paul Bradfield lived and breathed Volleyball. He loved playing and above that, he loved coaching! Paul had the honor of coaching for Birmingham Beach Volleyball and truly enjoyed every minute of it. Paul made it his life mission to instill the love he had for the sport in all the people he met and the juniors he had the honor of coaching. He not only taught how to play the game, but he had a way of teaching one how to appreciate the sport. Paul never missed an opportunity to teach someone who had the willingness to learn and desire to get better. Above volleyball, Paul dedicated his life to caring for his son Triston. Triston was diagnosed with Alport Syndrome in 2007 and was in full kidney failure by 2016. Triston received a kidney that later failed and has been on dialysis since 2017. Despite all the obstacles, both Paul and Triston never became bitter, never stopped loving volleyball and most of all they never stopped loving people.
In Paul’s honor, I have created this scholarship fundraiser to provide a Junior of Tristons choice the opportunity to play for Birmingham Beach in the upcoming 2025 season. As I mentioned above, Paul loved coaching and I know this is exactly what he would have wanted. My goal is to raise money for Triston as he is not able to work due to his condition, as well as provide a $600 scholarship to a Junior of his choice in Paul’s honor. Please join hands with me in honoring Paul Bradfield as we raise money for his son and provide one lucky Junior with a scholarship through Birmingham Beach.
