About this fundraiser

We are a group of former volunteers of an organization, Pisco Sin Fronteras (PSF), which focused on the rebuilding of the city of Pisco following the earthquake of 2007. And while the city has since recovered in some ways, and the volunteer organizations packed up and left, there are still many communities facing extreme need.

Since the holiday season of 2023, our effort to remain connected to the community manifests every December in the form of Chocolatadas, a typical Christmas celebration in Peru including hot chocolate and panettone. During our chocolatadas, we also have entertainment, games, and give presents to the children. In 2023, we hosted one event, which included 150 children and their families. In 2024, with the lessons learned from the year prior, we went for more and threw two events, hosting a total 370 children and their families, including 200 children with special needs.

And while our initiative may be young, and our resources not nearly as steep as the need we run against, our commitment to our cause is strong, which is why we are excited to keep our little tradition going this year. And we would certainly appreciate your help in contributing to expand the reach and positive impact of our events.

Every year, we evaluate which communities will be visiting based on their need and, in 2025, we will be hosting 2 events:

  • December 12th, 2025 - CEBE - (Centro de Educación Básica Especial) School for Students with Disabilities
  • December 13th, 2025 - Alto El Molino - A neighborhood in Pisco that suffered a fire in June 2025, burning down the homes of 24 families - (include number of children)

We cannot stress enough how far your donation can go for these families, no matter how small.

A $5 donation gets a child a quality toy and $10 gets them a toy and a school pack. And of course, for those who cannot donate, we appreciate you sharing with other potential donors and/or volunteers.

THANK YOU!
