Today, I'm asking our community to come together for two families who are facing heartbreaking circumstances and need help immediately.

Family #1 is a young couple with a precious baby. While caring for their newborn, they experienced every parent's worst nightmare—the heartbreaking loss of their other baby after a hospital stay. During this difficult time, both parents lost their jobs because they had to be by their child's side. Now, while grieving the loss of their baby, they are also facing the possibility of losing their home and everything they've worked so hard for. No family should have to choose between mourning a child and worrying about keeping a roof over their heads.

Family #2 is a courageous single mother of four who made the difficult decision to leave an abusive relationship to protect herself and her children. After escaping domestic violence involving a partner struggling with drug addiction, she is now homeless and without reliable transportation. Despite everything, she continues to put her children first. Two of her children's birthdays are coming up in less than a month, and the new school year begins on August 12. She desperately needs help securing stable housing, transportation, school supplies, clothing, and basic necessities so her children can begin this school year with hope instead of uncertainty.

Time is critical. The funds are needed as soon as possible to help prevent further hardship, provide emergency housing and essential bills, secure transportation, purchase school supplies, and meet the immediate needs of both families.
