On February 27th, we received the news that changed everything. Our dad, Danilo — lovingly known to everyone as “Poppy” — has been diagnosed with stage 4 pancreatic cancer that has spread to his liver.

If you know Poppy, you know that he is one of the toughest and most positive people around. He’s the guy who can make anyone laugh, who loves being outdoors hunting and fishing, and who treasures time with his family. 

While the diagnosis is serious, he is not giving up. He is staying strong and is open to exploring every possible treatment — both traditional and alternative — as we search for every opportunity for healing and more time together.

As many families learn during a cancer journey, the financial burden can become overwhelming. Medical treatments, travel for care, medications, and supportive therapies can quickly add up.

This fundraiser was created to rally around Poppy, to help ease the financial stress so he can focus on what matters most: fighting this disease and spending meaningful time with the people he loves.
