Freddy is in urgent need of a PPOD chair, as he currently has no appropriate seating that meets his medical needs. Although insurance has denied coverage several times, stating it is not “medically necessary”. Due to Freddy’s diagnosis of Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy and his need for 24/7 care, a supportive chair like this is absolutely essential for his health and comfort. He is also limited on choices due to Hip dysplasia.

United Cerebral Palsy has generously offered $1,500 in funding toward a PPOD chair, but these funds must be used by the end of the month. The remaining cost is $750, which we are unable to cover in such a short timeframe as a single-income household. I stay home to care for Freddy full time, while Rj is our sole provider.
