Hi, I’m excited to share that my daughter, Kara Albanez, has been accepted into UC Berkeley’s Summer Program for Pre-Medicine! This incredible opportunity will allow her to participate in a two-week residential program on campus, where she’ll gain hands-on experience and explore the field of medicine in depth. Kara has dreamed of pursuing a career in the medical field since she was young, and this program is a perfect step toward achieving her goals.

Kara’s dedication to medicine is evident in her accomplishments and activities. She has already earned an award in Health Sciences, showcasing her passion and commitment to the field. To further her understanding and experience, she interns at a free medical clinic, where she assists healthcare professionals and interacts with patients, gaining invaluable real-world insights. Additionally, Kara is an active member of Unified, a program that fosters inclusion by pairing students with disabilities with their peers for sports and activities. Through this, she has developed empathy, leadership skills, and a deep appreciation for helping others.
