Dear friends and family of our beloved Mike,
In 2013 I became friends with Mike through the Facebook page Facing Homelessness. Two years later we finally got to meet in person and ever since then I have been grateful for knowing such a supportive and thoughtful soul.
There are so many people who knew him from different parts of his life. From growing up in West Seattle, then living near Bremerton for a while, before moving back to West Seattle. He loved J.P. Patches, Volkswagens, and vintage buses. He had friends from those interests and also from his time being homeless after treatment for cancer.
From a young age, Mike faced significant health challenges and outlived the expectations of many. Losing both parents during his childhood only added to his struggles. Yet, through it all, he demonstrated unwavering resilience and a remarkable ability to maintain a positive outlook.
By contributing to this fundraiser, you can help ease the financial burden on Mike's sister Juanita, and provide a dignified farewell for a remarkable individual who touched so many lives.
We love you, Mike. You are missed dearly.
