Hi My name is Stacy,

And I am fundraising to restore my grandmother's community garden. My grandmothers garden served the community in rural, Onslow County North Carolina. When our family land was taken by imminent domain to expand Piney Green road expanding access to Camp Lejeune Military Base, we lost 90% of the property frontage with only the back Yard remaining. My grandmother Phoebe always kept a beautiful lawn and garden which she shared with the community. As a dedication to her memory I want to restore the garden. I would also like the garden to contribute to food insecurity programs in the area to decrease percentage of adults and children who do not live close to healthy reasonably priced foods in the areas. I need assistance: Phase 1 of project- Start date goal March 1st 2024. 

1. To Clear the land (about 1 acre)

2. Till the land (about 1 acre)

3. Purchase seasonal seeds

4. Pay for 1-2 persons to assist with weed, fertilization, water, upkeep garden until harvest time
