These funds will be used for Dale Armor (his dad) to take a small urn of Alexander's ashes back to Scotland where they will be passed to the Royal Scotland Highland Games officials.
In 2018 Alexander organized Uncle Sam's Highlanders was created as a body to support taking a team of athletes to Scotland in 2018 as the first Adaptive Athletes to compete in Scotland and demonstrate to the Royal Scottish Highland Games Association and Prince Charles at the Mey Games in John o'Groats Scotland. He had in 2017 approached the RSHGA regarding adding Adaptive Rules to the International Rules.
The Mey Games occur the first Saturday in August. That is 08/01/2026 this year.
The funds will be used to expenses to take the ashes to Scotland (Airfare, Transportation, meals, lodging).
This support will make possible a very special trip to return him to one of his proudest accomplishments. Many have unofficially titled him the "Grandfather of Adaptive Highland Games".
Being now retired and on social security this will make it possible to fulfill this task after his passing August 30, 2025.
