Since my husband's passing, my daughter and I have been living in our van for over two years. My son gifted me the van knowing I had no permanent residence, and I've been commuting between Albuquerque, NM and Colorado to help family members with health issues. We've faced tremendous loss, including my husband, sister, nana, uncle, mom, granddaughter, aunt, and brother, all while traveling back and forth to support loved ones. Despite everything, I kept my promise to my family and was able to be there for my granddaughter's birth, even though she was stillborn. The grief has been overwhelming, but my van has been our lifeline, giving us a place to call home and a way to stay connected to family.

After my brother's passing, I decided to move to Denver. My van is 20 years old and I've fixed numerous things, but without money, I can't do it all. Every time I repair one issue, something else breaks, and I just can't catch a break. My daughter-in-law recently had my grandson after losing his sister, but she's facing complications, and I desperately want to go home to my kids, see my granddaughter and new grandson, and support my boys, whom I haven't seen since my granddaughter's funeral. My van is the only way I can do this, but it needs repairs, registration, insurance, and updated license plates and tags.

I want to be self-sufficient, but after a car accident with my daughter in Pueblo, I have trouble standing and walking. I'm not lazy—just overwhelmed by circumstances and unable to fix everything without help. My family supports me as much as they can, but they have their own bills and challenges. Any support would mean the world to us, helping us stay safe, reconnect with loved ones, and move forward with hope.
