My household has been hit hard with vet bills this week.  My beautiful boy Blu (husky) spent a day in Emergency on February 21st and was diagnosed with aggressive cancer.  We made an oncology appointment for Wednesday the 25th.

Heartbreakingly, his brother, Kidgit, to whom he was bonded came down with a fast progressing pneumonia on the night of February 24th.  Sadly he did not make it and died of acute respiratory failure around 6:30am on the 25th and it absolutely destroyed us.

We went from there to Blu‘s oncology consult and they started Blu on chemo that Friday, the 27th.

Our boys are both rescues.  We all found each and created an incredible family.  Myself and child are devastated, we literally spent every dime we had on medical bills this week.  

The purpose of this funding is to cover Blu’s chemo and give him the best fighting chance we can.  It is also to help pay for all of the medical bills totaling over $13,000, and to pay for Kidgit’s cremation for which I have no funds at this time. Lastly, any extra will be used to pay rent which I am now behind on.

For the vet bills I paid all the cash I have, maxed my credit cards, and maxed my extremely loving and generous friend’s card which I need to make right.

I am the person who will do anything to save a pet.  This was exceptionally bad timing as I was laid off last year and already down ro my last dollar.   Turns out gold is at an all time high right now so I sold off my wedding ring and what other jewelry I could and that covered about $1,500.
