About this fundraiser

Our names are Jamee and Chris, and we are facing the most heartbreaking times of our lives. Not too long ago we lost our bother after having a pacemaker.

Our beloved son, Brandon, was diagnosed with autism and cerebral palsy at birth. He was 27 years old—our world, our joy, and our greatest love. On June 10, 2025, we lost him in a way we never could have imagined.

Brandon was sensitive to extreme heat, which triggered seizures. Because our vehicle does not have air conditioning, I made the difficult choice to leave him in the care of his paid caretaker—also our roommate—while I attended a doctor’s appointment and ran a few errands. It was a scorching 105-degree day in Pahrump, Nevada, just outside of Las Vegas.

When I returned home, I found my son lifeless in the backyard. The details of what happened are confusing and devastating. Brandon crawled everywhere he went, yet there were no signs that he had moved himself to the spot where he was found. Now, with grief consuming us, Chris and I are also facing homelessness. We have lost our brother, our son, our stability, and we do not know how we will afford any kind of service to honor his memory.

We are reaching out in desperation. Anything helps. Whether it’s assistance for funeral costs or finding a place to stay, we are simply trying to survive this unbearable pain. If you cannot donate, we ask for your prayers and to help pass this along. Please help us share our story.

Thank you for reading our story, and for any support you can offer.
