About this fundraiser

I'm a 19-year-old filmmaker making a short film with skaters from my hometown. I want to pay actors for being part of the film. I'm giving opportunities to the people from Porterville, California, from the Central Valley. I grew up in Porterville and love this place. I would love to give back to my hometown. I wanted to fund to buy current supplies for current scenes. This short film is about skate culture and a group of friends. I would be grateful for any donations made. This isn't just a movie about skateboards; it’s a love letter to Porterville. While the world often looks at the Central Valley through a narrow lens, we see a vibrant community of athletes, artists, and friends. This film captures the raw energy of skate culture—the resilience it takes to fall and get back up—mirrored by the spirit of the town we call home. Most films about California focus on LA or the Bay. We are putting Porterville on the map, showing the unique beauty of the 559 and the talent that lives here. Your donations go directly into the pockets of local skaters and creatives. We aren't just making a film; we are creating jobs and providing professional credits for young people in our community. By using real skaters from the streets of Porterville, we ensure the dialogue, the spots, and the "vibe" are 100% genuine. No Hollywood tropes—just real life.

We are committed to transparency. Every dollar raised will be funneled into three specific areas:

• Artist Compensation: Paying our actors and skaters for their time, talent, and physical effort.

• Production Supplies: Sourcing props, safety gear, and equipment to ensure the film looks professional and high-quality.

• Scene Essentials: Covering the costs of locations, permits, and the "day-of" needs that keep a set running smoothly.

As a 19-year-old director from Porterville, I am dedicated to "lifting as I climb." By supporting this film, you are investing in the future of Central Valley filmmaking. You are helping prove that you don't have to leave home to create something world-class.
