The leasing office won't make a payment plan for past due rent. We're fine with rent going forward, and were led to believe the property would make a payment plan with us. Unfortunately, they would rather give up the rent going forward and evict us, rather than let us pay a couple of hundred dollars a month on top of our usual rent payments (we went back to paying our rent normally, and on-time at the beginning of October). We have exhausted all options, and if we become evicted, we'll lose all our property, as well. We don't have friends or family to stay with, a car, hotel, storage, anything.

Update 04/11 /2026: When it rains, it pours. First of all, we would like to thank a local organization for bringing our balance to zero. Before their help, this complex already posted a letter on our door saying they won't renew our lease. To add insult to injury, they're trying to pin $3400 from three years ago on us. The real culprit is previous mismanagement of the property. Obviously, if we owed $3400 from three years ago, we would have been evicted a long time ago. We still need a lot of help, even if it's for moving expenses. This place is literally a never-ending nightmare and it's exhausting constantly living on eggshells.
