Supporting Aiden’s Journey — With Humble Hearts and Deep Gratitude

As many of you know, our sweet Aiden has been on an incredibly difficult medical journey these past several years - one that has stretched us emotionally, physically, spiritually, and financially. We have walked through complication after complication with his G-tube site, severe leaking, skin breakdown, pain, dehydration, and countless back-and-forth conversations just trying to get him the care he needs.

There were moments when doors seemed closed… moments where we were told “just wait,” even when we knew he needed urgent help. But through advocacy, persistence, and the grace of God, Aiden was finally admitted to Seattle Children’s, where he is now receiving fluids, testing, monitoring, and care that has brought us so much relief and hope.

Aiden spent over 20 hours on IV fluids the last two days, and though he struggled, his little body responded. He now has a new G-tube with a longer line and bumper to protect his skin, and he has been tolerating small amounts of formula with minimal leaking. We are praying boldly that he is able to tolerate a full feed tonight.

This journey has required multiple trips to Seattle, ER visits, hotel stays, time away from work, time away from our other children, and full days of advocating, coordinating care, and standing in the gap for Aiden. While the financial strain has been heavy, we have remained focused on one thing: getting Aiden the support he needs.
