Honoring the Life and Legacy of Annie Mary Robinson (1946–2025)
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Annie Mary Robinson, the cherished matriarch of the Robinson family, on May 24, 2025. Born in Alexandria, Virginia, and raised in Southeast Washington, D.C., Annie was a pillar of strength, compassion, and unwavering love for 78 years.
Annie dedicated her life to serving others — both in her role as a special education teacher's assistant in a low-income community and in her home, which was always open to anyone in need. If you didn’t have a home, Annie made sure you found one with her. She raised four children, endured the unimaginable loss of her daughter to violence, and stepped in to raise two of her grandchildren without hesitation — because love wasn’t something she just gave, it was something she taught.
Through every hardship, Annie remained generous, selfless, and full of grace. She paid bills, filled gas tanks, stocked fridges — and asked for nothing in return. She kept an immaculate home, full of warmth and order, and was known for her steady presence, her sharp mind, and her deep capacity to care.
We are asking for your support to help give Annie the dignified homegoing service she deserves. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward her funeral expenses.
Let’s come together to honor the life of a woman who gave so much to so many. Thank you for helping us carry Annie Mary Robinson home with the same love she always gave so freely.
