Hi everyone! My name is Taylor; I am a Pre-Vet Med student at the University of Tennessee. In this educational opportunity of a lifetime, I will have the chance to study areas in my dream field, such as zoology, conservation, wildlife care/handling, and zoo veterinary medicine with koalas, kangaroos, echidnas, and wallabies in Australia. This program will also expand my horizons by learning from certified veterinarians how to perform labs, create enrichments, discover the anatomy, behavior, and care needs of Australian animals from a zoo vet perspective, and much more. The great city of Knoxville and the state of TN have top-rated zoos and universities that could benefit from an Australian connection so that we can make a difference in wildlife care and conservation across the globe. Funds will go towards housing, transportation, meals, and tuition.
