About this fundraiser

Hi everyone. Our unfortunate journey started a month ago when Thor started limping and had an injury to his right front knee. It ended up being infected and he was taken into the vet. They put him on antibiotics and cleaned up the wound and we had been keeping him on antibiotics for a month. It still was not getting better and so we reached out to our local vets and they referred us to Red River Valley emergency vet. We got an appointment took him up there this past week ago so they did cultures and today they called us and said that the cultures came back negative nothing was showing , and the red River Valley vet told us that we needed to take Thor to Minneapolis to the emergency vet in the University of Minnesota. Although we are very worried and very scared, we are hoping that the Minnesota University vet will be able to figure out what is going on.  Yesterday, Thor got worse was limping extremely bad and also his knee swelled back up again along with his paw. At that time he had been on another dose of antibiotics which were stronger for two weeks. It seems that those antibiotics are not doing anything to get rid of it.  We did get pet insurance but the 30 day wait for an emergency like this is not going to cover and we are told that there is a surgery involved once we get there so they can see what’s going on and get it cleared out and cleaned out , we do not want to have to put our baby down because of cost. We are going to make sure that we can do whatever we can to pay whatever needs to be paid to take care of our baby. A lot of people have kids they have children that are you know family. Our dogs are our family and each one of our dogs bring something totally separate to this family. They are our children and just like any human child. We take care of them the exact same way when they hurt we hurt and this is really been difficult on us , especially Ken, because Thor is his boy and basically emotional support dog. We are hoping that maybe some of you could reach out and help. I did not wanna have to do this but like I said, I will do whatever it is that it’s gonna take to be able to get him better get him back home and  Back to his normal playful, fun self and it’s unfortunately going to be a cost that at this time was not something we had expected. With me not working the insurance just starting on the dogs our income right now is not in a good place. Anything that you can do is greatly appreciated , even sending tons and tons of prayers we need those right now as well. We are looking at cost of staying somewhere overnight with his surgery and recovery. No matter what we will get through this and we will keep you updated as we go along and we will do what we can to make sure that he is taken care of and get him back to his normal self.  Thank you again for being such good friends and keep those prayers coming and if you can find it in your heart to help that would be awesome and very much appreciated .

Thank you,

Thors mommy
