I don't usually do this. I am stepping way out of my comfort zone in hopes that a little from a lot can change my cousin's life. My cousin, Tonda, desperately needs a new hip. Everything is ready to role. Surgery is scheduled for March 5th. However, she was just informed that she will need $2000 dollars up front. Her mom and dad are helping her with that.  The $5000 is just to help her get through 2 months without being able to work. She has a house payment, a car payment and all the other bills that accumulate on a regular basis. 

I have watched her struggle for years with her bad hip. She is a nurse in a nursing home and also does travel nursing for special needs kiddos. So, you can imagine that a hip is pretty important in her line of work. I cannot remember the last time I saw her not in pain. She gets through it with her unrelenting humor, her constant chants of “I can do this for 10 minutes”, every 10 minutes, and her, compassion for life. Not just hers, but everyone around her. She is always, and I mean ALWAYS, the first one to step up to the plate when someone else needs something. I have watched her put everyone else in her life first and letting her issues go to the wayside. Now she really needs some real help and I'm hoping that even just small amounts will build and help her get through this without having to worry about anything at all while she heals.
