In Aug 2021 we came to NC for vacation, we were to be here for 2 weeks.

4 days after we got here my husband tested positive for Severe covid pneumonia.  4 days later he was hospitalized for 75 days. At that time he was placed in a skilled nursing facility.  He had 8 hospital stays from Jan 2022-July 2022.  The Dr moved him to another facility, where he stayed until May 1st 2023. 

May 1st he came home n was doing OK until May 31st 2023.  James was readmitted to the hospital due to congestive heart failure, pulmonary hypertension (stage 2) and even worse pulmonary fibrosis (stage 4). The doctor told us he has 6.to 8 months to live due to the rapid progression of his fibrosis.  

James is currently on 50 liters of oxygen @60%

He is currently in hospital and can't be released due to high flow o2.  

We are from Iowa and James wish n hopes is to make it back to Louisiana before he passes. ( he has family there)  

We are raising funds to help with medical expenses and expenses related to all this.
