About this fundraiser

Hey everyone!

My parents had me very young (they were still in high school!) My entire life, I was so scared of continuing the trend of teenage pregnancy.

My husband and I met when we were 17. We started dating when we were 19 in college. I was terrified of accidently getting pregnant and I knew that we weren't ready to have kids since we were barely able to take care of ourselves.

We thought we were going to adopt children. I had always wanted to fill my home with a family and wanted to give children that already existed a loving home. With that mindset, at 24, my husband had a vasectomy. I was so relieved! For five wonderful years I got to get off birth control (and get away from those side effects!) and focus on my life, job, and family.

We got married 7 years after dating. He proposed 6 years into dating and I didn't want to wait to marry him. He is my person.

But then came the longing. I wanted to adopt still, but I also wanted a child that was half myself and half my husband. I wanted to see the traits I loved so very dearly reflected in my child as he/she/they grew and learned. I wanted to celebrate every milestone from the first kick. I was so scared to share this aching longing for something we had quickly said no to but when I told my husband, he just told me he wanted me to be happy and began looking into a vasectomy reversal (vasovasostomy). He came to me a couple days later and told me that we needed to get $10000 for his reversal. We have been together for 10 years now. We have $5000 saved, we just need to figure out the rest

That's where you come in. A dollar makes a difference. Any donation, no matter how small gets me closer to my family. We have a long road ahead, we're almost 30 with no extended family to ask for help. Please consider donating for my husband's reversal. Please share with others so that people who can financially afford to donate may read this. Thank you for your time, thank you for your compassion.
