  • Devastating setback

Hello! Hope your day is going well!!

For us, today we are hanging in, but yesterday was pretty awful as our truck, which had been behaving, actually needs a full transmission repair. $5,000

Not quite sure what to do . We'll probably continue pay it off for the sake of our credit (which is bad enough.)while we figure out what to do. We pay it off in January. We owe less than a quarter of the repairs to pay it off.

So, since this is occured. I will be raising our target to $12,000

Thank you so much for loving, sharing and donating. We hate that we have to do this. But life has thrown us a mighty road bump, We just gotta get over it.

About this fundraiser

Hello!

Our family of 6 is asking and hoping for your help. Disability affects 4 out of our 6 members, at a extent that they are not able to work.

In early June, we lost a major source of income. Times are tough. We have been doing our best, but this is an urgent situation.

Electricity costs are our highest priority. If we can not pay it, we go dark for the foreseeable future, which could be a very long time. It also put us at risk for eviction. (Part of our lease requires us to keep certain utilities on.)

How does one's electricity bill get so high?

We have been "Robbing Peter to pay Paul" for many years now. For all our bills. That, including a *very* inefficient HVAC system, where summers can cost us $300-400 a month, has been a major drag on our utility bills. We are still working on bills from 2 years ago.

Does not include:

Medication costs (Do not qualify for Medicaid for a silly exclusion)

Groceries & incidentals (We do not qualify for snap for silly exclusion.)

HEAT and utility bills (We have used up this service)

Truck payments (The shark loaner turns off the truck every two weeks for late payments.)

Catalytic converter repairs (cost unknown)

Plumbing supplies to return hot water to part of the home

Other unsecured debts and collections.

I promise you, we have exhausted all known resources to assist us. HEAT, CAP, ASSIST, ETC. We are out of options.

Thank you for reading, donating and/or sharing. Your time is a simple kindness, and kindness is what we all need from time to time.
