Michael Whisman was a devoted father, Navy veteran, and active member of Living Hope Fellowship in Lexington, KY. Despite facing many challenges, including addiction and homelessness, Michael remained a source of inspiration to those around him. Four years ago, he was diagnosed with multiple stage four cancers, yet he continued to show incredible strength, joy, and compassion. His resilience and positive spirit touched everyone he met, especially his church family and his two sons.
Through all of his pain and suffering, Michael never lost his huge heart. He faced each day with courage and made peace with his journey, even as his family wished for more time together. Now, as we say goodbye, we want to honor Michael’s life and legacy by giving him the dignified funeral he deserves. The funds raised will go directly toward providing Michael with an honorable service, allowing him to be laid to rest with pride and respect near his father at Camp Nelson National Cemetery. Your support will help us celebrate the life of a man who gave so much to others, even in the face of hardship.
