Ashley has always been a kind soul, facing pain and challenges with a smile on her face. Recently, she was diagnosed with breast cancer, adding to the struggles she has already endured as a survivor of lymphoma from her teenage years. Despite everything, Ashley continues to care for her mother, who was recently diagnosed with dementia and is slowly declining in health. Her mother now needs round-the-clock care, and Ashley is the only one providing it, except for a caregiver who is able to help for just a couple of hours a few days a week. 

Ashley is on a fixed income and simply cannot afford the extra expenses that come with both of these conditions. The medical bills, caregiving costs, and daily needs are overwhelming, and she is doing her best to keep up while fighting cancer herself. Ashley is exhausted, but she never complains and always puts her mother first.
