I am reaching out to my community for help during one of the most difficult periods of my life. This isn’t just about me. It’s about my five dogs, my babies, who depend on me for their safety, food, shelter, and love.

I am behind on my rent after a serious illness involving one of my dogs resulted in costly veterinary bills. I would do it all over again. When it comes to my comfort or my dogs’ well-being, my dogs have always come first.

Unfortunately, I was also injured at work and was unable to work for almost a year. I did not receive workers’ compensation, and the financial consequences have been overwhelming. I am doing everything I can to get back on my feet, but I need a little help.

🚗 MY SOLUTION: A CAR RAFFLE!

I am offering a chance to win a 2003 Toyota Highlander in exchange for purchasing one of just 50 raffle tickets at $100 each.

Here’s what the winner will receive:

● A well-maintained Arizona vehicle with no rust.

● Ice-cold air conditioning.

● A new suspension system.

● An upgraded radio with phone connectivity and music.

● No reported accidents.

● The vehicle is prepped for paint, but the paint job remains unfinished due to my financial circumstances.

Only 50 tickets will be offered at $100 each. Once all 50 tickets are sold, the drawing will take place, and the winner will be announced. The winner will receive the vehicle, subject to the raffle’s final rules and transfer requirements.

🐕 WHY I AM DOING THIS

My dogs didn’t all come to me the same way. Some were abandoned, some were mistreated, and others needed someone willing to give them a second chance.

One dog I rescued had endured years of mistreatment. It took a long time for her to feel safe and become comfortable again, and I couldn’t bring myself to give her up.

My little Chiweenie was found alone with his owner, who had died from a fentanyl overdose. The dog was brought to me because I help rehome animals. He was simply too sweet for me to let go.

Then came a stray Pug mix. Most recently, a prospective renter moved her belongings into my home, only to leave about a week later, abandoning her 14-year-old pug. He is healthy, playful, and now depends on me, too.

I started with one dog. Now I have five. Every one of them has a story, and every one of them deserves love and a safe place to call home.

I realize I have taken on more responsibility than I can comfortably afford right now. I am not asking anyone to give me free money. I am trying to find a way to raise funds while offering something of real value in return.

I may be facing eviction, and honestly, I can find a way to survive in a car if I have to. What breaks my heart is worrying about what would happen to my dogs. They depend on me, and I will do everything reasonably possible to protect them.

This vehicle is especially meaningful because it is essentially my daughter’s car. She has been willing to give it up to help me care for these animals. Her heart is every bit as big as mine, and I am grateful for her sacrifice.
