About this fundraiser

After years of surviving abuse while raising 8 children, I have always done everything I could to carry the weight on my own. Asking for help does not come naturally to me, but I have reached a point where I truly need it.

Over the past few years, my health declined due to thyroid disease and being pre-diabetic. Instead of giving up on myself, I made the decision to fight for my health and future. Through hard work and determination, I have lost nearly 70 pounds and have worked tirelessly to save for a life-changing surgery scheduled for June 10th.

The surgery costs approximately $17,000, and I have paid for most of it out of pocket. Unfortunately, after recently losing my health insurance due to rising costs, I am now falling short financially and struggling to cover both the remaining surgery expenses and my monthly bills.

Swallowing my pride and asking for help is incredibly difficult, but I am reaching out in hopes that my community can help me cross the finish line. Any donation, share, or prayer would mean more than I can express.

Beyond being a mother of 8, I also spend much of my time supporting incarcerated and at-risk youth in our community, helping them rebuild hope and navigate reentry into society. I have always tried to be there for others, and today I humbly ask for a little help for myself.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read my story and support me in any way possible.
