About this fundraiser

I want to share something close to my heart about someone very special to me. Aa’Riah Springs, Class of 2024, was one of my AP Art students and I had the privilege of being her mentor throughout her high school journey.
Just a year after graduating, at only 19 years old, Aa’Riah has received the devastating news that she has pulmonary blastoma, a rare and aggressive cancer in her lungs. She now faces a fight that no young woman should ever have to face.

Aa’Riah was the kind of student who didn’t realize her own artistic ability. She took my AP Art class her senior year, despite her doubt in her abilities. In May of 2024, She was able to earn college credit from my AP Art class, after working diligently on a portfolio of artwork that highlighted the dangers her generation is faced with, such as: smoking/ vaping, texting and Driving, social media, etc.. Aa’Riah had a way of brightening my day, everyday I had the privilege of teaching her. She is one of the strongest young women I know and she shouldn’t have to fight this battle alone. Help me show her just how loved she is.

This fundraiser is to help Aa’Riah and her family with the heavy burden of medical bills, treatments, and everything that comes with this difficult journey. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a difference in helping her get the care she needs.

If you aren’t able to give financially, please consider sharing this fundraiser and keeping Aa’Riah in your thoughts and prayers. 💛
