Helping Mom and Baby Daija Move Forward Safely

Hello friends and kind hearts,

Over a year ago, I made a necessary decision to leave an abusive relationship to protect myself and my beautiful daughter, Daija. Since then, I have been working tirelessly to keep our heads above water. Despite receiving no child support, I have managed to get us by on my own, but we have hit a breaking point and urgently need a helping hand.

Right now, I am caught in a exhausting cycle: I am constantly forced to take time off work—losing much-needed wages—if it isn't because of a sick day or appointment day for Daija, I'm having to navigate the legal system and fight for child support that still hasn't arrived. Because of this lost work time, we have fallen behind on our rent, and we are currently facing utility shut-off notices.

My sweet Daija was born more than a month premature—a challenge I truly believe was brought on by the physical abuse and constant, heavy stress of my pregnancy. Making sure she gets to all of her medical appointments safely is my absolute top priority. Unfortunately, our car is in desperate need of critical maintenance that I simply haven’t been able to afford. To ensure we can travel safely before winter hits, the vehicle urgently needs an oil change, new brakes, two shocks, and replacement tires.

Beyond our physical safety, I am trying to restore peace to our home. Though I've been able to fix the holes in the walls myself, our current interior doors still bear the physical damage from her father’s abusive outbursts. Every day, they serve as a painful reminder of the trauma we left behind. I am hoping to raise enough to buy four simple, low-cost interior doors so we can finally close the door on that chapter of our lives.

Any contribution, no matter how small, will directly go toward keeping a roof over our heads, keeping our lights on, and ensuring our physical safety. We are so incredibly grateful for your time, your kindness, and any support you can provide.

With Deep Gratitude…Daijas Momma.
