About this fundraiser

On June 12, 2026, our family experienced an unimaginable tragedy. To say that this was unexpected is an understatement.

Our father, Chris, passed at the young age of 47 due to health complications as a result of his active duty services. He was the provider, the glue that held our family together, and without him we are completely lost.

He is survived by his wife, son, and daughters, along with two dogs and a flock of chickens he so lovingly cared for. Raised in Binghamton, New York by two loving parents, Chris grew up as the only son alongside his two sisters. He was a charming troublemaker at heart, full of personality and humor. He loved cars, collecting baseball cards, fishing, and searching for new toys for his chickens.  After graduating high school, Chris enlisted in the United States Army as a young man.

An Iraq and Afghanistan combat veteran and staff sergeant, Chris proudly served his country for 18 years before retiring and spending the last ten years as an honorable veteran. Chris continuously and willingly made sacrifices in honor of patriotism and the common good. His various medals include the Army Good Conduct Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, National Defense Service Medal, and Afghanistan Campaign Medal.

Though he earned many honors while in service, his proudest achievement was meeting his wife, Alis. They met while Chris was visiting San Francisco during a work leave and their love story blossomed from there. They got married in 2007 moving their family through multiple PCS moves, before settling in Missouri as their forever home. There, he achieved his dream of always wanting a home with lots of land and a pond to raise chickens with his wife. They had just celebrated their 20th wedding anniversary on June 1st.

Chris demonstrated discipline and bravery through his life and was unwavering in his commitment to others. He always showed up for the people that needed it, through compassion, strength, and with his big heart. We will miss him deeply and are grateful for the time we shared.

We are raising funds to help cover the unexpected funeral expenses and to support my mother and family as we begin to navigate life without him. While the weight of this loss is heavy, we are hoping to ease some of the financial burden during this difficult time. We sincerely thank you for your donation to this fund. Your support is greatly appreciated and will make a meaningful difference.
