I’m starting this fundraiser for my mom, Kristy, who was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and will be undergoing a double mastectomy in the coming weeks. We are currently looking at an approximate surgery date in mid-July, but have not received an exact date yet.

As her daughter, it’s incredibly difficult to watch her go through this, but she is facing everything with strength and determination.

During her recovery, Kristy will be unable to work for a period of time. We are hoping to raise funds and gather recovery items in advance so she has everything she needs ready before surgery. Donations will help with medical-related costs, recovery supplies, transportation, and basic living expenses, allowing her to focus fully on healing instead of financial stress.

Kristy is the sole beneficiary of this fundraiser, and all funds will go directly to her.

While we are asking for support, this is a very difficult adjustment for Kristy and our family. We kindly ask for understanding and privacy regarding the specific details of her diagnosis at this time.

Anyone who knows Kristy knows she is always there for others and puts the people she loves before herself. For the past four years, she has helped me navigate life with my own medically complex child and has always been a strong support for my sisters and me. Now, we’re hoping to give some of that kindness back to her.
