Acerca de esta recaudación

My son is 12 years old, and for years he has asked for one thing—to come home.

Every weekend we spend together, I see how much he longs for stability, love, and the chance to simply be a kid. Watching your child cry because he wants to live with you is a pain that no parent can truly describe.

When I agreed to a guardianship in 2017, it was not because I wanted to give up my son. It was because I believed it was the safest and most responsible decision during one of the hardest times in my life. I promised myself that I would do everything I could to rebuild my life so I could bring him home.

Since then, I have kept that promise. I earned my GED, graduated from college, completed counseling, built a stable career with the State, and created a safe, clean, loving home where my son is always welcome. I have remained actively involved in his life, spending weekends, holidays, and every moment I can with him.

My son deserves to grow up in an environment where he feels emotionally safe, supported, and loved. He deserves to have his voice heard. As he has gotten older, he has expressed that he wants to live with me. My greatest wish is to give him the opportunity to grow up in a home filled with encouragement, patience, and unconditional love.

I have found an attorney who is willing to help me petition the court to terminate the guardianship, but I cannot afford the legal fees on my own. That is why I am humbly asking for your help.

Every donation will go directly toward attorney fees and court costs so I can ask the court to consider reunifying my son and me. This isn’t about taking anyone’s side. It’s about giving my son the opportunity to have his future considered through the legal process.

If you aren’t able to donate, sharing this fundraiser would mean the world to us. Every share brings us one step closer to giving my son the chance to come home.

Thank you for taking the time to read our story, for your kindness, your prayers, and your support. More than anything, I want my son to know that he is deeply loved and that I never stopped fighting for him.
