My sweet girl Chicka is 13 years old, and she means everything to me. She's been my faithful companion through so much, always there with her wagging tail and loving presence. Recently, we got news that hit us hard: Chicka has been diagnosed with congestive heart failure.

When I heard those words, my heart sank. But the vet explained that with proper treatment and care, we can help her feel better and give her more good days ahead. That hope is what's keeping me going right now, even though the emergency vet bills have been overwhelming.

The treatment and medications Chicka needs are going to cost more than I can manage on my own.
