I am reaching out to you today in a moment of urgent and overwhelming need. My family dog Nani, and I are facing the devastating reality of eviction. We are turning to our community for a helping hand as soon as possible to keep from losing everything.

Recently, I was hit with unexpected car repairs that drained my savings, combined with unexpected health challenges that impacted my ability to keep up with expenses. Because of these sudden financial hurdles, I fell behind on rent. I have done everything in my power to catch up, but I am now facing an eviction notice. I need to raise $3,000-5,000 immediately to pay off my back rent, and pay off any legal fees, and keep me and my babygirl safe.

This home is everything to me and my dog Nani. It provides the safety and stability we need to get back on our feet. Facing eviction means potentially losing not just a roof over our heads, but all the progress I have worked so hard to make.

• Paying the past-due rent balance owed to my landlord.
