On this International Bereaved Mother's Day, it felt appropriate to provide an update & April photos. Eris and Anthony have been experiencing both Joy and Pain. After the healthy birth of Ajani Joseph on 4.25.26, Eris was transferred for further postpartum care as well as Baby Ajani to the Neonatal Unit. Eris was recently discharged but her and Anthony reside at the bedside of Baby Ajani. While prayerful awaiting important test results, Baby Ajani continues to thrive through breastfeeding due to Mama Eris having the ability to produce an overflow in lactation.

We want to thank Ajani's NICU team for helping these grieving parents address the excessive delay of Ezra’s death certificate not being signed until last week which means Ezzy has remained in the care of Calhoun Funeral Home. We can finally move forward with the privately planned proper burial this week. While further ongoing advocacy continues in the background, we are grateful that this painful barrier that has caused emotional distress is now removed along with another "systematic" victory this week.

Anthony remains on unpaid leave of absence from his job and they are looking forward to starting their grief counseling with Cornerstone of Hope. Thank you for your support and prayers seen and unseen. We are so grateful for the continuous financial blessings and donations to the Forever Ezzy Strong fundraiser.
