My name is Helenea, and I am asking for your help as our family says goodbye to my father, Charles Richard Butts.

My dad recently passed away after a courageous battle with extensive small cell lung cancer. Even knowing the time was coming could never prepare us for the heartbreak of losing him. He was only 63 years old, and his passing has left an emptiness in our hearts that words cannot describe.

My dad was the kind of man who would give someone the shirt off his back if they needed it. He had one of the biggest hearts of anyone I’ve ever known. If someone was hungry, he made sure they ate. If someone needed help, he did everything he could to be there for them. His kindness, generosity, and willingness to put others before himself touched so many lives.

More than anything, he loved his family. We loved him deeply, and we are devastated by this loss. We simply want to give him the beautiful and respectful farewell that he deserves.

Unfortunately, my dad did not have life insurance or the financial resources to cover funeral expenses. As we grieve this unimaginable loss, we are also facing the overwhelming cost of honoring his life.
