Hello, as many people know my wife has a rare disease called lipodystrophy. For those that don’t in a brief explanation Hedis body doesn’t recognize that she has eaten food and sends her into starvation mode, so she has to eat every hour or two. For years she has been at this and now is really struggling physically Hedi has much pain from solid foods so now can only tolerate certain puréed Food. We have been able to secure her a visit with a top doctor at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota on September 18th. We will be driving there with an ice chest full of Her food and hoping they can help her. The Mayo Clinic doesn’t take her insurance so we have to put a deposit of $5000 to be seen by the doctor. We appreciate any help and are truly grateful.
