Our brother, friend, firefighter, and lifelong member of Neptune Township, NJ community Andre (Dre) Butler, is facing a life-changing journey - and now it's our turn to stand beside him. 

Andre has dedicated much of his life to firefighting and serving others, answering the call when people need it most. He has spent years putting the safety and well-being the others before his own.

Unfortunately, due to a serious injury/illness, Andre has undergone the amputation of his foot and is expecting another surgery in the coming days. While he remains in good spirits and is determined to face this challenge head-on, the road ahead will be long and demanding. 

His recovery will require extensive rehabilitation, specialized medical care, prosthetic equipment, and significant adjustments to his everyday life. He will also need appropriate residential accommodations to safely navigate life during his recovery and rehabilitation. 

Andre is not only a lifelong firefighter - he is also a parent of a child depending on him. His goal is to regain his independence, rebuild his strength, and, if medically possible, return to what he loves: serving his community as a firefighter. Achieving that goal will require time, rehabilitation, prosthetics, and resources that come with significant financial costs. 

NOW, WE HAVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO GIVE BACK TO SOMEONE WHO HAS SPENT HIS LIFE GIVING TO OTHERS. 

We are asking our Neptune Township community, fellow firefighters, first responders, medical professionals, friends, family, and supporters around the world to rally around Dre during this difficult chapter.
