In 2024 Hurricane Helene struck and took Chris's business from him for some time, He helped hundreds if not thousands of people during the time that his business was down and got people supplies and the help they needed. He spent countless months in places that got destroyed. He used his hard earned money that he saved to get people the things they needed in a time of crisis. He gave his time, energy, as well as anything else he had and dedicated it to the sections that got swept away by the hurricane and flood. Chris had a lot of weight on his shoulders during this time but still provided, saved people, and put smiles on peoples faces, and saved families as well as loved ones.

Chris used to rock climb, walk or hike 15 plus miles a day with his best friend Tippet. They are two peas in a pod that enjoyed coffee walks, difficult hikes, difficult climbs, and spending time with friends and loved ones. He also loved taking his clients fishing and taking them to pretty spots to give people the biggest fish, and a time to remember. Chris Johnson is the type of fishing guide who remembers your name, favorite spot, and makes sure that you always leave with a smile on our face. Now we need to give back to him and put a smile on his face the same way he has for thousands of people.

On April 8th 2026, when he woke up before a guide trip, his world was unexpectedly turned upside down when he suffered from a stroke. Resulting in extreme balance loss, disrupted vision, mild memory issues, and lost his independence which he took emence pride in. He went from being able to do everything alone, to having to have someone close by at all times and have since lost his ability to drive which we are hopeful will return with time, patience, and rehab.
