As dawn breaks on a chilly morning in our hometown, I find myself flooded with an overwhelming mix of emotions. Today marks the start of what could be a long and challenging journey for my twin brother, Gordon, and his family. This morning, he was handed a diagnosis that no one ever wants to hear: Lymphoblastic leukemia.   

It’s surreal; we shared every childhood moment together, from our first steps to adulthood challenges. Now, as adults with families of our own, it feels unimaginable that life could throw us such a curveball—one where Gordon is the one facing his biggest challenge yet.
