I’m Allison, a 33-year-old hourly employee living on Gingercake Cir in Rock Hill. Two nights ago, a heavy summer storm snapped a large pine branch overhead, which crashed onto our service drop line. The weight ripped the electrical weatherhead mast completely off our exterior wall and tore out the main meter box.
The power company reconnected the line to the pole, but legally cannot turn our power back on until a licensed electrician rebuilds the meter socket and mast housing, which costs $4,200 out-of-pocket. Without electricity, our food has spoiled and we are living in total darkness. I am swallowing my pride to ask for financial relief to get our power restored. Every share or contribution helps!
