Meet Aldrin

Aldrin is a hardworking husband and devoted father who has always provided for his family. In early January, Aldrin was unlawfully detained by ICE in Columbia Heights, Minnesota — an event that has turned his family’s life upside down.

ICE agents followed Aldrin and his wife home from work. From the window of their home, young daughters watched as Aldrin was detained, his wife, just inside of their building. Aldrin complied with officers under the assurance that his paperwork would be reviewed. Instead, he was immediately transferred out of state, first to El Paso, Texas, where conditions were extremely poor and urgently needed medical care was denied. He was later transferred to a detention facility in New Mexico, far from his family and legal support.

Aldrin is the primary provider for his household. Since his detention, his wife has been unable to work out of fear that leaving the home could result in her children being left parentless. The emotional and financial toll on this family has been overwhelming.

This family is deeply faith-filled, and they are holding on to hope during this incredibly painful and unjust time. However, hope alone is not enough.

    •    Legal fees needed to secure representation and file habeas corpus

    •    Fighting Aldrin’s detention and advocating for his release

    •    Helping keep his family together during this crisis
